I'd go semi-mute most times I did this. And just sway around pulling faces at whatever happened around me.
My voice is moderate in pitch I guess, absolutely not a loli voice, but I do usually speak fairly softly both to avoid making to much noise at night, and just by nature. Helps mitigate the oddness a bit I guess.

Both need you to upload the avatar yourself though.
The easy way is using a combo gesture (eg thumbs up on one controller, point on the other) as a requirement to activate the action/sound etc.
