Only problem with my Oculus controllers so far are noisy triggers due to Oculus not using enough glue to hold the little pads that muffle the noises behind the triggers.

And my only complain about the controllers: They are not easily user repairable. They glued everything together.

You choose yourself what kind of instance you want to generate on the website. You can technically create a public instance of a private world, however in terms of functionality they'll be identical to friends+ so they won't show up in worlds list for example.

For Shaders, if you're just looking to make something fairly normal, I'd just go with a mix of NoeNoe and Cubed

Cubed is super basic, but that kind of why I like it. Tried a mix of Cubed and Xiexe today, Xiexe does some good toon armor when your normals aren't bad

I've heard it's roughly equivalent to last generation console hardware (360, ps3). I can't imagine VRChat ever being ported to it. The best we could hope for is some official or unofficial PC -> Oculus Quest connection that lets us run it as a tethered PC headset.

The quest is nice for many reasons, I can see it as a much easier way to get into VR for all my friends who I have demoed my rift to so far. They're usually quite on board with buying the headset until I reveal the cost of even a basic gaming PC capable of powering the headset. With the quest they could just get the headset and they're good.

I just wish that Oculus had put a dedicated port on it to support a tethered mode. It would have meant someone with the quest could conceivably upgrade one day to a PC and then experience all the games that desktop VR has to offer.
