There are other Japanese VR programs that have gotten near a thousand players in one instance also. It's part of why I was debating it's not an impossible concept a few weeks ago.
Although VR-Chat itself obviously isn't built for it right now, there's no reason it couldn't potentially include support for mass player count worlds, at some point in the further out future.

If it is saying too many polygons, then you cannot upload. You have hit the limit. To get that model to uploaded, you need to decimated it so the polygons is lower than the limit

Not being able to pick things off the floor is due to awkward proportions of most avatars in VR-Chat not quite matching your real life proportions correctly.

If you've got an avatar with overly long legs, and your playspace is floating 10 inches off the ground, doubling the size of your avatar will make that into 20 inches, whilst halving your scale would make it 5 inches. You'll always see the same apparent gap from your own perspective.

you don't know my pain until you try downloading a 9gb game and it sometimes gives me the estimated time of 6 days.
Normally when i'm playing stuff i have as many background processes and downloads all stopped, helps a lot.

Well a tips i can give is to try to restart your router/modem every time it acts up, it might work.
If it does not work don't bother doing it but it helps me when my internet is not up to par with what it should be.

The "skybox" there is just a large sphere, so I think the "real" skybox might be solid black

Been using the game for about two months, I use a wooden PC from 2013 with an NVIDIA GTX 760 ( permission to laugh granted lol ) and have 8 gigs. Haven't had crashes from that occur until Friday and I cleaned my computer pretty thoroughly, still occurs.
Pretty much, should I stop playing until I scrounge up enough to get a better uh, well... everything or is there a means to fix this in some way? I use desktop mode.

Before I fixed, I did have outright BSODs but afterwards it's just the graphics card vomiting on itself instead. So it's probably also age adding onto the other stuff you mentioned.
