There was a very short-lived exploit where hackers could steal your avatars by reuploading them, this seems to have been fixed already. The reason these clients don't work in the beta isn't necessarily because the beta fixed them, it's because the beta is built slightly differently and the client would have to be adjusted for it.
As of right now, there is no known way for the average script kiddie to steal avatars.
Blueprint stealing has been curbed entirely, the new workaround they found has been fixed too.
This did not require a client update.

Be sure to send the correct crash logs from the new location listed in the support channel.
Any existing users will still have their old crash log from before the last update. Check the date before sending. Maybe delete the old one.

I learned this when I saved the wrong logs for later use, before re-joining the game. Spoiled a really good report, involving three crashers in one place and around a dozen people crashed.
