@carmine dew If you're talking about safemode inside VRchat, you turn that off by unticking mute people/avatars (Two separate options) in the settings menu

Being allowed to upload is based on reaching a certain trust score which's exact algorithm is unknown to prevent exploitation.

You presumably need to play the game in a normal manner, walking around, meeting people and also makeing some friends. Idling wont help.
According to many responses in this discord the typical time it takes seems to be between 20-40 hours but big exceptions are possible.

Make sure you are not logged in to your steam account by accident and play the game until you get a notification or e-mail.

Being allowed to upload is based on reaching a certain trust score which's exact algorithm is unknown to prevent exploitation.

You presumably need to play the game in a normal manner, walking around, meeting people and also makeing some friends. Idling wont help.
According to many responses in this discord the typical time it takes seems to be between 20-40 hours but big exceptions are possible.

Make sure you are not logged in to your steam account by accident and play the game until you get a notification or e-mail.

my theory is that they trick the clients and give them a different id then you really have. which makes it not matter if it is public or private since.

How they steal avatars is beyond my knowledge, unless they were able to get it from some temp folder or something

the ones who turn into it in game

and the rippers who extract the real avatar data to use it

it is okay if it works like this for a moment (as in, no one thought about protecting this way at first) but it's something that would have needed a quick fix with permission checks

and if thats the case and not implemented yet then it is really really sad. Tho i have trust in the dev's for the system to not be this primitiv, especially considering that we have the content gating and stuff now.

Hi, I don't know which thread i should ask this but anyway, when i launch VRchat it only opens on the desktop monitor rather than the rift i have. VR chat used to work fine until a month or so ago and ive just decided to get it working again now! i have no issues with any other VR games, tried reinstalling etc

any help would be greatly appreciated 😄

Are you sure that you are running the game with the VR mode and not just desktop mode?

you should start steam VR and while in Steam VR go into vrchat

So, game just got crashed and I looked at the output log and emailed it to the mods; i had question.
Is it the sub emmiters that cause the game to crash and over load?

But, in the map i was just in, some guy ran into the middle of the room and blasted us with pictures.
