It was possible for people to abuse particle systems to crash vrchat but that should be handled better with the new particle limitations.

As for vrchat crashing causing windows to crash, that's not really something that can be done in any kind of reliable or predictable (ad thus maliciously intentional) way.

They can crash the computer if it has hardware/driver issues. Basically it handelling the crash so badly that it crashes entirelly. But it doesnt affect your data in any way.

Yeah, and if that's possible it's due to something specific to your system (funky RAM, old video card that's had a cat sitting on it, etc etc) that they can't even know unless you tell them.

As a general rule, if you see a message where someone's freaking about a way that the OMG HACKERZZ can crash your intertubes from all the way in Singapore, and there's lots of capslock and scary sounding words, it's very probably bullshit.

@cinder walrus Quite possibly. That's the error world where vrchat can't load something repeatedly, it dumps you there so you don't sit in a load loop until the end of time.

I could do rooms with 25+ people easy before the update but now over 10 people and it is so choppy in video and audio I can barely play.
