If you get kicked a lot, mods might look into it, but kicks themselves won't trigger any punishment.
If you're banned, it should tell you when logging in... If you're having problems loading, that's just the usual VRChat bugs (either the VRChat servers being overloaded or something on your end)

You can prevent it by restricting the &#!$ out of vrchat so the gameclient makes ridiculous demands on your pc and the vrchat server kicks anything that doesn't look like the official client.
this ensures that developing for vrchat becomes a hassle.

well yeah it'll dupe the animation controller and all that jazz if its on the model but messing with your dupe one shouldnt screw with the main... BUT to be sure, click on your main model and up the top right in the inspector there should be a tickbox with the name of the model next to it, just click on that and it'll disable that model until you click it back on again
