I usally go to #avatars-2-general if it's at least loosely related to VRChat avatar uploads. But if it's pure unity you should probably try Google
For example, I had a bug where I couldn't copy-paste files in Unity, so I ran it as Admin and that worked

You edited your unity installation itself? You might not be doing a full reinstall then (it is spread across multiple locations)
Are the files still there? try removing them

I think you did broke something without realizing it, because editing the SDK itself should only really break avatar uploads, not Unity itself
