How 2 fix bug where I have no friends

Well for some reason, VRChat is recently bugging out for me.
Anytime I log into the game, it takes roughly 20 minutes just to log in. Then when it finally loads up, one of two things happen:

1. I stay in the world for 30 seconds, and then I crash. If I open the panel to do anything, the game will almost stop itself. I'll be able to look around, but I can't move out of the spot I'm originally in.

Bit of a random question here, I know the poly limit for models is 20k (19,999) but I’ve had friends tell me after modification that models with over 200k poly count upload and run just fine. I admit I have done a model with high poly count and find that the game runs just fine for myself and all the people around me. Is the poly count limit related to a storage space thing server side for storing the models or is there an actual performance related issue regarding the 20k limit?
