I started using blender in… 2006 I think? Maybe 2007. Back then I was confused AF and needed a lot of hand-holding. In the sense I read every damn tutorial I could get my hands on.
Now I'm at that wonderful stage where I can absent-mindedly do stuff in blender, while trying to figure out how to do other stuff in blender.
Time and practice, that's all it is.

You could install steam on the system you run vrchat on, but disable steam from launching at boot. And only start steam when vrchat needs an update. @knotty dew
