mid range phones rarely make it past 1080p, so cardboard vr would be a pixelated mess in best case scenario, nevermind the bad performance as a result of how much heat they'd make. it just wouldnt be worth the effort of getting support for very poor+cardboard

You can only use Excellent up to Poor avatars. VeryPoor can't be used, shown, or wear.

I do got avatars in my world that are all mobile optimized (both Android and iOS), but they're mostly the "underutilized" avatars, or unpopular ones

if you are on 6gb (or sideloading to run on 4gb of ram), your device may not be able to handle it at all

Nah I'm on a Snapdragon 778g, 256gb store, 8gb ram + 3gb "storage ram", it just crashes when signing in or doing something simple
weird, try reinstalling just to see if it may work, and if it doesnt work you may wanna put a bug report on the canny

right, so i couldn't get my hands on the Quest 3 because my granny denied it. however, the Quest 2 was accepted. i know you guys wanted me to get the Quest 3, but i think i want to have some experience with the previous model first.
i found one for 250€ but it wasn't in stock, so i'll just buy it off from a neighbour near me who sells one for 200€. i'll also pay the shipping if necessary
Yeah, the Quest 2 isn't in stock because it is very likely going to be replaced at the end of September at Meta Connect, we don't know the price, but it is supposed to replace the Quest 2, so probably going to be at or around its price point (been rumors that it might be sold without controllers to get the price down as much as possible apparently).
So I would personally hold until then, unless you don't really care about spending that amount of money.
And unless the Quest 3S sucks, then it will make used Quest 2 headsets even cheaper.

I can only guess if this is what they are doing, but there has been a warning for a few years now on the docs that VRChat may remove very poor avatars altogether from the mobile platforms, so starting by not giving new versions access to very poor avatars would be a good way to slowly phase them out.

Well yeah, if I was them then I'd cap off very poor on Quest (maybe make a "Too Poor" rank) and just wait it out until hardware was good enough that the then very poor becomes more reasonable.
PC could honestly use a Too Poor rank, a rank that you'd have to manually show even on PC.
i mean currently even with the quest 3 supposedly being better then the quest 2 it's still running into major issues with the limitations vrchat currently has in place (the biggest one ive seen is that it overheats worse then the previous headsets and bricks itself but thats more a meta/oculus issue rather then vrchat's fault)
and for both quest and PC there is plans (not sure if theres an official set date for both platforms) that'll remove the very poor option completely, i mean they've recently limited both versions SDKs a bunch to where its VERY difficult to upload something that's really harsh on your performance so its a good first step atleast

just from a quick overview it seems like it'd struggle a little bit but so does some others in their currently supported list

ive concepted a lot of little changes that could be made to perf ranks, but i eventually hope they can get their weighted performance rank system ive heard rumors about made
it would be really nice to see avatar performance condesnsed to a single number thatd increase based on its stats, that way you could have finer control of performance limits and it’d be easier for new users to understand their meaning (without learning what a material slot and rigidbody is)
Not sure if the 25mb uncompressed size limit will allow it, but allow the VR Android users to have 40mb uncompressed size

I was wondering if the 25mb uncompressed size was going to be used for the user to see their very poor avatars.
I was using the avis inthe top left, and bottom right
All under the 40mb uncompressed limit
The download size is still currently 10mb for Quest/mobile
as bad as it sounds, i experimented with an avatar to test the limits of what you can make on android, and you can do a LOT in those 10mb, way more than a quest or phone should. modified sdks also run the risk of breaking limits further, as ive seen avatars manage to go as far as 200MB uncompressed
my joke 12 million polygon cube isnt that impossible if i were to tone it down for quest
what i am trying to get at is very poors are fine in moderation, its just those 20%-40% that really screw your performance up, which will ruin it for everyone
really needs hard limits if its ever gonna be brought to android and ios 💦

Not asking to have the avatars that have particles flying all over the place, but it has worked during the alpha stage. Vrchat can allow to have a second run for the testers with liability clause making them not responsible for damages.

From August 14th announcement, is where I'm getting the 25mb uncompressed size limit for mobile. I do have avatars Quest side under the 40mb limit, and some when uploaded with Unity 2022, are under 25mb uncompressed.
in the "avatar optimizations" tab I noticed its automatically set to block poor and lower avatars, and I can only set it as low as very poor, is there any way to disable this? its preventing me from testing a quest avi

considering the quests use the same processors in modern martphones I cant imagine its gonna last much longer on quest
if anything quests are less performant seeing as they have to render in VR
so as far as I'm concerned if its a big enough issue that other android devices cant have it, quest probably wont either
Very Poor on quest staying isnt guarantees but they wouldnt make a change this huge without a huge announcement, which theyve not spoken about besides the limits on phones
sure, but its one thats just been in "consideration" for too long, the likely hood it will happen if they went through with it on phones is just higher

honestly the performance rank system is only a tiny snapshot into the avatar's actual performance anyway, but honestly smartphones have effectively less memory bandwidth compared to their VR made counterparts, so VPs would likely clog them up pretty quick if there's not hard limits set (if VPs shown, culling forced on 5m, 3 avatars or something similar)
But since the release of alpha, all users using very poor, except the user had been in fallback. I accepted that decision with the limitations. But being able to use the Quest avis on phones would be a good alternative to using vr headset. This is when I had 6GB of RAM. Now I have a phone that runs 8GB of RAM. I'm sometimes running a video or stream in miniplayer while doing other games, or texting.
Idk why very poor avatars are so heavily restricted on mobile, phones these days are getting more powerful, definitely more powerful than some computers that run the game, and all I'm left with is a fallback because none of the decent avatars I have will actually work on here. I know it's brought up literally every 5 seconds but it feels like a waste for me to get a high end phone just for me not to be able to use it to it's full potential. More powerful than the gaming pc I built 5 years ago... And can't even use one very poor avatar... (I'm sorry I'm tired and about to fall asleep in like 4 seconds
Considering that my powerful Samsung phone, tablet, and iPhone 12 Pro gets tremendously hot when running VRChat in 30 fps with both Poor and Very Poor avatars disabled, limiting avatar count and distance to 6 and 20m, I would imagine that these high-end mobile devices coming with no fans would be the reason for all these restrictions.
I set all of my settings to max and went on a world with 15 people and got 50-60fps so it really depends

The most I was on phone has been about two hours, except the time I left it on overnight like I was sleeping

Ya know what, we should make the PC version to the lowest denominator, ya know, not everyone has a gaming PC. Vrchat should target dual core laptops with Integrated graphics. That way everyone can play. People with budget computers shouldn't have to click one or two buttons to enable safety settings. I say, get rid of all avatars and only use fallbacks, that way nobody will ever have to worry about using safety settings ever again!
i took around 3 hours one day in blender to optimize my main model for android and PC, and got it from very poor to Good PC Medium Quest. no noticable hit to quality. imagine a world where we all did this
avatar limits shouldnt be changed at this time i believe, at most increasing polygon limit on pc by 30k or so for medium, but android is too performance

What do you mean? You said to just use safety settings and i said that it shouldnt be a requirement for most users to have to enable safety settings fully since they'd have to be on as in "cant see the models at all" for it to even be effective performance wise
Plus im not too sure if you've kept up with recent updates but they have been lowering the limits for PC obviously not as crazy as you're wishing it to be (sarcasm or not) but they're actively making it so that content needs to be more and more optimized so instead of you all wanting very poor to be an option they're outright trying to get rid of it which is better for all players overall!

I have some created by a friend, and don't want to optimize to lose swords, and particles that are well synced.
Can you merge 3 particle systems on a latern down to two, and somehow it will sync?
can i do it for you? no. is it possible to do? yes just takes a bit of work, though if its not something you've created from scratch yourself it'll deff be alot harder to do

if it was a case of only you seeing the model it'd still be a risk for people who's devices cant handle very poor, for vrchat its far easier on everyone to just make it not possible at all 🤷♀️ (also if you have a job then pay someone else to do it if you're really that lazy because in the future your avatar isnt going to be useable on any platform)
Very poor was in fallbacks for other users on mobile. Only the user could see the very poor on mobile.

yeah i know, i think the only thing ive really seen you do in this discord is complain about new updates and performance ranks/limits
but even if they did a second test the outcome would very likely be the same and they'd keep the limits they currently have (hell they might even raise the limit so that poor isnt an option)

There isn't even an offline test mode for Android version of Unity for the SDK

yes they basically have the same rendering limitations like they're both going to have a miserable time with transparency
and like your phone has a lot less cooling available so it's going to throttle performance a lot more
I was happy when Quest could use the Additive and Multiply particles, and not show up as squares, but the intended shape.
transparency is pretty performance heavy iirc, additonally i wouldnt be surprised if they lower the limits further to try and avoid problems due to the newest headset easily overheating itself
and it's also a lot less acceptable to completely drain your battery on your phone playing a game then on your quest

That is why many people have backup batteries, and cords ready since Pokemon Go drained batteries
using any device that's battery charged plugged in charging is bad as it degrades the battery overtime especially if its getting drained and charged rapidly
and the Avatar ranking documentation notes they could remove very poor avatars from the quest at any time

Hell, people here act like loading even a single VP will crash you, yet when this came out I was able to run it on a 4 year old cellphone in a world entirely composed of poiyomi and shader toy shaders, with multiple other users, while showing my VP avatars in a mirror just fine lmao.

I was using very poors for the week I could, and yes the game crash because it was in Alpha which is expected. They are looking for crashes for iOs. It is 1 very poor, not an entire 50 very poor lobby which were in fallbacks

Most all my crashing has been from stuff like rotating my screen, closing and opening menus, connecting/disconnecting buds, and the home screen launcher.

The home launcher is my biggest issue source now, it will often break and crash on load until I clear data and relog

I did notice some worlds my mic is clear to others, and other times not. Also having multiple people as bots do degradate the mic quality to others
it is how safety settings work though since everyone started off with no safety settings toggled as in new accounts dont have anything on when they're first used/created which is what i had been talking about in the message you originally replied to?? especially since i doubt the majority of users who were already playing vrchat actually use mobile since they've got better versions to play it on with Quest or PC
Additonally ive said that the second message was to summarize a semi-longer message id sent, but from the way you've cut the messages it would seem like they're different complaints but if you go back and re-read them they both say the same overall message (one of the two messages just adds crashing into one of the reasons rather then both of them having it because like ive said already it was a summary) not sure why that's so hard to grasp

theres no incentive to optimize without a tangible limit. this is why i advocate for hard limits so badly as much as others hate them.
i will say that i will be using your fallback if you aren’t in an optimized avatar and this goes for many other players. you will have to accept that if you are this desperate to use them
i really hate seeing people not as themselves but just have had to get used to it, as others dont seem to care as much about being blocked
im not going to make another long message as this is a bit unproductive to talk about but i have valid reasons
if anything i see this happening. the current performance limits allow many bones, constraints, and physbones tbh. the quest struggles heavily at its cpu as a result and would definitely struggle at medium to large lobby sizes

I'm waiting for the November 1st window, and the only limits I see are download size, uncompressed size limits, and the particle behavoir applied to the root of the avatars.

Because of that, I can't use most custom made Rexouium in public due very poor rating which lead me to join VRChat in the first place. So, what avatar I got now are regular Rexouium avatar from Pooltoy and original Rex avatar from Rezillo (Rex creator)

I'm still searching another Rexouium avatar because it's one of hardest to find mobile compatible. I have too many Nardo public avatar that mobile compatible in my favorite if you want to know.

your best bet is to optimize a rexouium yourself, either with polytool or by retopologizing, to be honest
with some work, you can make just about** anything mobile compatible

Lmao what? The rex is not 600$. You can make the 45$ version public, you can do edits/coms if both people own the avi as well. This has always been the case which is why you see so many of them. The only thing rezillo asks people don't do is NSFW edits, but he only asks, not demands.
The 600$ version is for a COMMERCIAL license to use it in a paid production, product, media, work, etc. this does not cover use in vrchat.
600$ commercial license would say cover you distributing it in your own steam game, using the model to make and sell a physical irl product, or using it in a paid virtual productions, etc.

Yeah, the creator of Rexouium already clarify in his Gumroad store, but not everyone knows that you can use it as commercial like HTC (VR Headset) company did
To be honest, I'm kinda surprise because most avatar especially furry avatar we see in store are personal/private use only but Rezillo is different. He'd brave enough to do this to use it as commercial use.
Yeah. One of the reasons I've made so many rexo edits. Nice model, he is constantly updating it even still, and a very fair price.

I bought the rexo in May 2020 and it's gotten some 60+ updates since then according to all the emails I've gotten lmao. Last update 2 days ago. I love passion projects.
I got the JinxedKitty, and right on their store page says public avis can be made with different textures. One person Skelico made many great avatars for public use. Wish more model creators would allow for public use.

I don't edit avatars unless they can be public, but I use the original rex model so it's very poor on quest. Haven't gotten around to them yet. Kinda been a Rantichi or Kon too much lol, both of which easily work on mobile. The Kon I use for my edits is excellent and the Rantichi can be easily kept at poor.
Hey guys, I just got an android phone and am trying thr vrchat mobil app. I consistently crash whenever i click to view notifications in app.
Is this a known issue, and should I lost error logs anywhere?
Did it just start doing it or always done it for you? I've had persistent crashing issues that were fixed by clearing data/cache and re logging in.

Worlds and Community is the thing that kept VRC alive even avatar restricted. Without this two things, VRC already dead by now

I have a 1,500+$ phone, it can run vrc at max fps and not even get warm, I can play fortnite on max graphics 90fps, warzones max graphics, Minecraft max graphics, but I'm not allowed to even choose to manually show a single VP avatar at my own discretion.

I have a 200€ phone and I was able to have 60fps with my very poor avatar too. Phones are more capable than that old quest2 for the same price so I don't understand why they decided that

Most people will only do so much that it works on their main platform. If they mainly play on pc and they upload a very poor quest version simply so more people can see them they ain't gonna care about mobile most likely
There are only 2 ways to solve this problem

Likr week 1 vrc mobile, only the user was allow to see their vp avi. So yeah, everyone else as fallback is fine. Lag was still there after the removal to see. There needs to be a 2nd test run of vp avi for only the user. I can just go to the website, and change avi there for those on Quest and PC can see it. I know it worls, because I have streamer friends. Mic quality does drop sometimes but depending on the world, how many users in game, and how many people with phones on irl nearby.
What's happening currently is pretty dumb. Why even play mobile when you can't even see your friends avatars. Defeats the entire point of VRChat. Might as well be in a discord call.
It's not just inferior that you can only see quest content but without vr. No can't even see most avatars on top of that.

It is still good for when away from home and want to talk with friends. But not the best for avatar use.
Related to recent conversations regarding very poor avatars on mobile, I'm currently working on an update to my avatar search world that will allow search filtering based on performance ranking. The avatar data needed to do so was only recently made publicly accessible, so I'm currently in the process of recaching the metadata for all avatars in the database along with building out the interface and search pathways necessary to make it work. It should also remove avatars that don't pass VRC's security checks for a given platform. So hopefully that will at least help somewhat.
I'm not offended, though I am admittedly curious about your objection(s).
It has to do with not being able to see others' avis which are very poor, so they see fallbacks instead. It has been this way for others since Alpha release to VRC+ users.
Think of it as Quest users seeing only PC only avis. Or rare, PC users seeing Quest only avis.
I've observed that as well. Can't fix that part, but was referring to the talk of red ringed pedestals and how hard it is to find avatars on mobile currently. Filtering out those that fail security scans on a platform, and making it so you can filter by performance ranking, should help a bit on that front.

Also going to try to make it so Quest will default to no minimum performance rank filtering when searching, but for mobile to default to minimum of poor. Will have to double check what level of detection Udon allows for to differentiate between Quest and Android (Edit: there is)
When you had avatar search via mods everyone hated on it because it removed the value of creators making avatar worlds. It defeated one of the best parts of the game. Mods are gone, and now a world is allowed to basically do the same thing which I have a morality issue with. All these content creators hard work and passion in making spaces to share their work is immediately defeated by a single bland world where everyone just mashes a button. Either avatar search needs to be a first party solution in menu or it needs to be not allowed at all full stop.
I see it as an affront to all the work done by countless creators while making the game smaller. One of the most fun aspects of vrc in the past was world hopping avatar worlds and finding cool things, exploring, now most people I run into just go to the search world and are done with it. Getting people to want to explore I find far more challenging now, shrinking the vrc experience to less and less content.
Frankly, it's soulless and goes against what I think is a classic aspect of vrc (creation, exploration, expression). Thus. I will not go there or use it and hope for its eventual removal.

I definitely have a different perspective on things (in regards to the benefits of at least having the option), but I do respect your take, and also respect creators and users who do want to browse worlds the classic way (which is why I honor all takedown requests, in spite not needing to, like how YAAS doesn't). There's lots of benefits to the classic approach, including the fact that the content of those worlds is curated: mine is very much not.
Creators shouldn't have to file takedown requests with some bulk search world... It shouldn't even be a thing.

I have no desire to go and find people sharing those in a search world and find how to contact them and have them removed, it shouldn't even be a thing I need to do, especially when that person isn't a vrchat employee, and it isn't a first party tool

The thing is, I actually kinda agree with you. Namely, I don't like that there's only two states for avatars: public or private. Public is what it says it is, in spite of people using it in other ways as convention because there isn't another option. I'd much prefer if there was a way to designate avatars for specific sharing with people the way they intend. I have no interest or desire to share avatars people don't want shared, which is why I provide multiple ways to do removal requests.
But many people DO want their public avatars shared. Many people don't like having to make or maintain worlds, or even if they do struggle to get their content seen. I've had far more people eagerly send me their stuff to be included than I have had takedown requests. But the reason I provide so many ways (including making it as simple as just sending their user id and their stuff will never show up in my world without them ever having to contact me again).
Ah yeah, some people like it therefore you preference their desires because it's positive feedback which feels good. But the others, nah, they have to file reports to be removed or likely, like me, just not bother with it and ignore it exists.
I just hope vrc eventually adds their own first party solution in menu and search worlds die. But again, that's just me. I won't add further to this tho. I've shared my opinion and this isn't the appropriate channel. Feel free to continue however.
Request, singular. They say "hey, I don't want my stuff in your world". And I say "absolutely", make it so their stuff will never show up, and they never have to contact me again. The effort involved is minimal, and for something I choose to do as a courtesy and out of respect, not as a requirement, it's more an extra effort for me to handle them. But I'm doing my best to act in good faith from my end.

I don't make anything off of it, don't have a patreon or ads, as an intentional choice. I was once a new user myself who struggled to find avatars, so I made the solution I would have liked to have had when I started out, at the behest of an avatar creator who encouraged me to do it. So yeah, once native search comes I'll be thrilled that there's no more need for a stop-gap.

Keep in mind that very poor may likely end up getting taken out of the quest version of the game as well, ultimately you need to start actually optimizing your content and targeting poor at the minimal ( https://creators.vrchat.com/avatars/avatar-performance-ranking-system )
The Avatar Performance Ranking System allows you to see how much a user's avatar is affecting performance via analysis of the components on that user's avatar. You can also use it on yourself to see how performant your avatar is.

There is no indication or even a hint that they might do that.
There is more hints that the opposite could happen, since there is that warning in the docs about very poor potentially being removed from Quest, Pico, Vive, although that warning has been there for a while.
Probably early warning before major changes applied for all Quest user.
When the time comes, I can expect majority player who using Quest especially avatar creator might be upset and unsatisfied with VRC decision for removing very poor, like how we feel right now on mobile version 😅

Go to your account in vrchat, and under settings, there will be a token you will need.
Next, follow the instructions to setup an official vrchat account. There is a field to fill in. You can do this directly on the vrchat website. Using the same email will make the process easier, plus you will get the email verification setup. Friends, avatars, and worlds should successfully transfer over.
Your guest account will still show up when others are searching your name.

I think I might have figured out why the vrc mobile mic being so bad sometimes, and it has to do with upload speed. I had the same issue with my Quest less night while on wifi. My upload speed was so load that others said my mic was breaking badly. I also timed out a lot. I did speed tests on my PC and phone. Speed on phone and wifi were below 5.0 Mbps for upload. The wifi has been fixed and upload speed is sitting at 9.88 to 17 Mbps and is clear on my Quest.

The VRChat menu is quite heavy.
While it doesn't make me lag on my PC, I can see a huge difference in FPS by looking at third party FPS counters (the FPS counter in the menu will always be practically useless because of this).
The big menu has been heavy on Quest, and sometimes PC. There used to be a sound that played when you exited the menu.

I was lagging with fallbacks shown in a medium avi, and bad mic during week one Alpha. Same thing happened with very poor. It didn't crash me anytime sooner.
When did you start vrc mobile? Cause I started it early August 2023 with a Samsung A52 Android 13, and 6 GB of RAM.
Same phone played Pokemon Go, with Twitch stream playing in miniplayer.
And people called me too while playing vrc mobile back then
We can see the preview fine, and the limits are 10mb download, 40mb uncompressed size on the Quest side which have been established June 2024.
It is only 1 very poor avatar, not trying to show others' very poor avatars.
Plus using safety settings and avatar culling helps with reducing crashing. The app is still under beta.
Currently I have Samsung S23 FE Android 14 and 8 GB RAM. Runs smoother except mic in certain worlds. I can come from another platform, and change from the website in a very poor avatar and I'm in fallback. But the others on the other platform can see the very poor avatar.
I don't use iOs.
And then we now have the Too Many Avatars safety which happens on Quest, mobile, and pics I saw on iOs
Sorry for the rant but this application hasn't improved since release. I wish they allow me to see my own avatars and yet I can see other people's. Only one works now and a few use to work but seems like a update made it impossible to see any of mine. They all have imposter's and even my good versions are red on here when they're green. Also my settings on my Samsung Fold 5 phone are unlimited on everything and runs great. Also randomly the mic will stop working on my phone or headphones and I would have to reset the app. I even reinstalled a few times to see if that fixes any issues

the reason youd want to optimize is to not have your avatar hidden -> very poors are given the option to be shown -> people will show avatars anyways given the option -> no incentive to optimize

this is my main argument against having the show avatar button, i think youd rather want to keep very poor as a "friends only" thing. its been repeated too many times that midrange phones do not match the quest 2 in power due to things such as power and thermal constraints

sadly size limits dont mean too much, as within 10MBs, you can fit over 10 meshes and 10 materials if done right

the website say that the base is 4gb and the maxed out 8gb, you checked in settings you are sure you have the non 4g model?
well it does say 4gb and a +2 on the side idk what that means
+2 is not ram, it will use memory swap in apps that need to use that extra 2gb, but games need a main 6gb ram chip

vrchat on mobile is nearing unplayable on all devices in groups above 15 players, increased avatar limits will cause even more issues for devices with only 6GB of memory
i think they should focus on providing a good experience for all devices, rather than limit the number of users who can play the game and the number of players they can see, which is what they appear to be doing
Providing a prompt to see your own avi can be an option. Some of us want to use the avi we use, and optimizing the non polygon stats will make it desync on PC and Quest. I have an Erifty avi, and don't have the clothes on while on Quest on the PC side as well.
I only played mobile at 1 hour max while away from home. Not like on Standalone or PCVR

(in the nicest way possible...) if your avatar has tons of network sensitive components for quest and pc, you may want to reconsider uploading your avatar as-is to android in the first place... create a fallback or alternative version without these network sensitive components if necessary

playing vrchat on a below minimum spec phone is sort of fun because i never know what to expect loading something new

Surprisingly, VRChat can run quite okay on my device with 3GB RAM, way below minimum requirements 6GB RAM. Probably due Unity Engine more friendly on mobile platform even you have low end device.
The good thing is, it's playable on world with only less details and light. I feel lagging when using mirror especially world with lighting and particle effects (probably not optimized well) and end up game crashes.

all avatars have a performance rating, with Very Poor being the worst. these are blocked on quest unless you click show avatar, as these avatars can cause a lot of lag. to prevent crashing and lagging on mobile, these avatars can't be shown at all. the issue is that many avatars are rated very poor on android, so you will often see fallback or imposor avatars in their place with no way to show the full avatar
there isn't anything you can do, besides using better performance avatars or ask others to use them

simple workaround for gogo loco beyond that i'll use for now: disable the fly object in the flying off animation clips

I got to try that with the Jinxed Kitty model. The only issue is the GoGo messes with a toggle on the Quest side while on PC.
Not sure why it happened to some avatars not all. My guess would be if a station doesn't have an object set on entry it gets default to 0,0,0.

Prismic have avatar filter performance now when I visited yesterday. The last time I visit, it doesn't have that options so it's little hard to find unlike now.

I'm not sure you 100% understand what I'm trying to get at.
Ideally, there'd be an android emulator that supports VRChat android like WSA or android studio, but they don't come with google play services and even the custom versions that do didn't want to work with VRChat for some reason beyond my pay grade when I last tried them. Having a separate system is largely necessary as you would want to have a desktop client running the PC version and an android instance so you can test both the content itself and the parameter syncing.
If the client supported loading the android content without having to upload it to another blueprint, sure that would be cool, but doesn't 100% solve what I want. Also certain there'd be many discrepancies as desktop and mobile platforms are quite different in terms of rendering and even the CPU architecture. x86 can emulate ARM though, QEMU being an example.
Having VRChat solve that emulation in client is way out of scope of VRChat
I have experience this while on Quest, and seeing what happens on PC thru streams done on PC. Syncing can be problematic.
Which also plagues me 
And depending on worlds, the mobile mic is broken in some, and works in others.
A Quest or a pico is too large of an expense for me atm as well
You have to rely on the trust of a Quest user. Which I do have Quest, PC, and mobile. Not iOs.
It actually used to work just fine in wsa during closed beta, it seems whatever security checks they added to the client for release made it incompatible

there arent LODs on vrchat avatars. on PC only avatars, it will show the impostor avatar, but otherwise the avatar will show in its regular android version.

very poor rated avatars do not work on android for stability reasons. very poor avatars are too large for most midrange android devices, and showing them will reduce fps or cause crashes. they likely arent going to change this, (un?)fortunately

quest 2 which is the hardware the 20000 triangle limit is set for is still widely supported in vrchat so that's not going to change anytime soon
Been using Quest 2 since October 2023 on PC and standalone switching between the two, and have used Quest 3 since. Are limits set because of Android 10 phones? I think there can be a set higher limit for the higher end devices.

There is the soft cap and hard cap for instances
And there are the hard caps for download sizes and uncompressed sizes for PC and Quest
The limit on tris are currently the soft cap limit for poor before going into very poor
I made the mistake of showing everyone's avatar at the beginning, but I survived the whole time until the one or few, before EAC, came in and the lobby disappeared. VRChat has done a great job on reducing that from happening though it still does happen.
But never had that issue on mobile
Mostly everyone else in fallback is fine.
I just find it funny how the avatar fully loads within your avatar menu, but when you try to actually wear it, it will tell you that it can't display it due to its performance rating. That should definitely be fixed, I can't imagine that being intended, probably an oversight

no toggles or anything else aside from how it was uploaded in unity
The toggles don't count towards the performance, so that wouldn't matter. I don't remember but does it also load all the physbones in the preview?

I'm a little annoyed at why a lot of quest games hardly work with some android controls. Like probability labs, you cant use the drink as there is no way to push items forward or towards you like you would with the scroll wheel on desktop

@waxen ridge You could play with keyboards and mouse to control movement like desktop version. I've tried it works on my Android device, same with iOS.

also check your avatar settings. by default it is set to not load anything below poor. it's also set to uncompressed 25mb instead of 40 by default too. at least these were the default settings on the ios app
not sure if being allowed to change it in ios has any effect. they say the same thing for ios, but the option is there to change it.

Fun fact: VRChat changed the api for what packages they display (no longer displays standard, just security and impostor), which broke the database a little since new things would scan in as having no platforms supported
