#Looking for a method to increase the AI's difficulty / behaviour beyond Hard + 'Brutal AI'

I should add that, on certain maps that have confined starting areas, they tend to box themselves in with their own units / buildings, so the area they occupy just becomes a cluster fuck of random units scurrying around like ants with no way to escape their own base. I know this game is 20 years old now, I've been playing it for just as long, so I don't expect super advanced AI lol, just wondering if there's any sort of way to modify it for online play.

If such a thing does exist and I'd have to create something that we'd both have to have present on our computers, it's no issue.

If I'm right about what I said about the 'Brutal AI' and how they seemed to learn / react, then that is a very interesting avenue if it's something I can expand on myself. The heuristics that the AI demonstrate are pretty lacking but I don't know many other games where it's not.

You can search internet for "INI mods", they can modify AI behavior, but Im not sure if they are applicable to CnCnet.
There is no real way to make it "smarter". AI just follow set scripts, with some randomness in their choice. Scripts have set "targets", so it seems like AI is responding to your actions. You could play custom maps, that's the best way if you want somewhat "smart" AI.
