I remember somewhere there is a MaxAttempts value in game rules value for this. Unless I’m mistaken and remembering wrong, this is technically working as intended.

not really, it happens simply when you keep hitting the button too many times. Razer's words maybe more likely right or not.

I've had this happen to me, but never when i press the hotkey too many times. only when i try to build on a red tile
