#dial a port guild

ya on p99 an pquarm, you're welcome
Tupakk plays on Aveos... I have been trying to get home to start it
@quick gorge
Maybe now that there are druids....
Someone took our tag. I am working on trying to recover it.
We were talking about on Pantheon. Someone has stolen our tag and we are trying to find out who.
ohhhhh
maybe you can make <Tell-A-Port> like send a tell for a port and the play on words sounds like Teleport. You're welcome. ๐
Iโd prefer to have my 10 year legacy guild name. The owners of Tell a Port would agree if I snaked their tag they would be none to happy.
hmm maybe the name was used to prevent the creation of dial a port due to jealousy or a deep hatred for those 10 years they dealt with DaP in the past ?
maybe the person who has the guild would be willing to release it if they ever cared to reveal themselves ๐ฎ
It would be nice. Sadly they have not stepped up nor has VR staff been willing to share that information. I think stealing guild names is rather childish for the age group this game focuses to, however Iโm not surprised in the same vein.
requesting Dev response
@west ocean hook a brother up
Tupakk is good people and the guild is a damn icon at this point
@west ocean Dial a Port is a guild that operates strictly as a service to the community(akin to an Uber Service). It exists only so players can assist other players with travel needs. Only classes that can teleport across zone lines are permitted to join.
Tupakk is the guild leader and he and only he should be leading this guild. Not some individual that decided to claim the guild tag.
Please work with us to resort ownership of Dial a Port to @quick gorge .
I am aware of this situation. Did anyone confirm that someone else has the guild name and it is not just a naming convention error?
Yes, nobody from our team has taken the name. You won't tell us who or what server so I don't know how we would get that information. You also said you were going to talk to Tech about if it was caught in a name filter and then didn't answer for a month and told me to create a ticket which I did and got no real response beside the name is taken.
This also brings up a much larger issue that anyone can take any Guild Name and hold on to it be it their guild or not.
Well, the concern here becomes who can claim a guild name in a game and what gives them that authority?
anyone can claim anything.
I could go through every server and take any guild name I want from the most popular to the least
As we do not save char and guild names for people until the reservation system is in place, this guild falls under the same rules as all the others, yes?
That sounds malicious. Do you have information that would indicate that someone is maliciously blocking the guild name?
You wont tell me who took my guild tag for me to tell you if it is malicious.
And yes it abosolutely sound malicious and I wouldn't be surprised if someone has scooped up a lot of popular guild names as a way to troll or possibly try to sell.
I have no intention of doing this by the way, but the current system allows this.

I spoke with CS and we cannot save character or guild names at this time. It is your best bet to keep an eye out for character and guild name reservation when it is available, if you wish to save a name.
Please also note that if there is ever a character wipe, the guild name will come up again as first come, first serve.
I do not wish to save anything but retain something I have built for the last 10 years
What is frustrating is you have the tools to look up the guild name and see who has it yet give zero help.
So now I have to spend every waking minute of my day to sit on every server to look for a guild name run by.
This seems very ridiculous.
You have the proof of who I am as well and everyone in the community to back that Dial a Port is in fact ran by me, I do not see the issue with giving me some help.
I'm sure you can understand that our players are protected from having their information revealed to just anyone who asks. That is true of every game and really every company, ever.
Yes I can understand that if it was actual personal information , however I am not asking for personal information I am asking for a in game name and or a server that the guild currently resides on.
Also again you have the tools to see if the in game player is even active and if not remove the guild name and give it to the proper owners. Which would require no information to be given out.
I am trying to move my community to your game help me help you.
@west ocean its important to remember, Tupakk is actively trying to establish Dial a Port on Pantheon Rise of the Fallen and bring a community of over 1000 members in Dial a Port Discord alone
Sounds like for now the best thing we can hope for is the launch wipe, and lock down the tag then.
I was hoping to launch Dap on the same day that Druids dropped to get the most out of it encouraging my community to come over and PAY for a game. Which should be more than enough of a reason to give us our guild name to boost profits. It baffles me that a company who is trying to get enough money to fund operations to continue to make their game would turn down a chance at a possible 40k boost in profits.
I can also vouch for Tupakk and Dial a Port being an established guild name.
Reading this hurts my feelings.
โค๏ธ @quick gorge long live Dial a Port
Maybe u can just switch gears to Dedicated Driver cos we all know you need one ๐
@granite flint And I would certainly call up Dedicated Drivers (Dedicated Druids? Lol) after our karaoke raid nights when I'm back at ot
Im down when im back
๐
Not needed commentary, please move along.
I started this process a month ago. When I heard Joppa talking and showcasing the Druid. Regardless of timeframe being stonewalled by development team is the bigger issue here and the lack of support for community leaders trying to bring the masses to their game. You can see https://www.reddit.com/r/PantheonMMO/s/2F2IU1Xcci for yourself the decline is strong and we could help turn that around.
Truly disappointed.
Hey nice to see this, I founded DaP on P99 lol
Sup Tupakk
Just caught up on this thread, that's lame someone high jacked it. ๐ค
It is very lame.
The ability for anyone to just create a guild with no real rules or regulations seems to be something that would be problematic beyond just this specific instance. Most games require certain rules and regulations to establish a guild. For example many games require a set number of people to create a guild or at the very least maintain a certain activity level and members to maintain that guild and thus it's name rights. I know of many people who have create guilds in Pantheon and essentially just abandoned them for another one. This essentially locks out that guild name and tag from ever being used and thus limits people who want to participate and play the game. Locking guild names across shards and not having rules in place to create them seem to be an issue beyond just this.
For example "Only Fangs" is a massively popular HC WoW guild that all the streamers are in. There is nothing stopping someone from just creating a guild with that exact same name and essentially stonewall them from ever wanting to participate in Pantheon because their name is take. Also there is a chance here for people to actively do things maliciously or attempt to financial gain from this. Basically the current guild setup system is abusable both for malicious purposes and potentially RMTs.
This issue goes far beyond just DAP wanting our guild name.
Basically the lack of rules and requirements to create a guild leaves it open for abuse. It's far too easy for someone to just make guilds and lock out other groups. Additionally, there is no recourse or remedy either.
@west ocean ^
@unborn shoal Did you take our Dial a Port tag?
Is DaP taken on all servers? Can you at least start it on servers that it is available?
please check your email for a solution
Done.
