keeping any exotic animal in your home is unethical, they belong in the wild, not in zoos or your homes.
cats and dogs for example have been domesticated over 1,000 years making it not like a prison for them. Tigers could seem like they love you then the next minute they kill you because you didn't give them food. In general, exotic animals as pets are cruel to them and risk them killing you.

btw when I say not in zoos I'm just talking about zoos that keep animals that could live in the wild by themselves. Overall sanctuaries and rescues are the only acceptable place for a wild cat to be.

Also if you have a wild cat as a pet for example a tiger releasing it into the wild isn't a good thing either cause they don't know how to hunt as they would in the wild and other things so if you did have a tiger as a pet best thing to do is call your local sanctuary or rescue to take them in.

I would say lions because they are in packs. That gives them the advantage in numbers, along with their strength. However, if they were in the jungle, a tiger would have the advantage because it knows how to kill its prey easily in the jungle, and have experience climbing trees. So honestly, I say it depends on where the fight’s at. If it’s in the jungle: Tiger. If it’s in the fields/plains: Lions. (I like white tigers the most tho and they will always be my babies no matter what).
