Just as personal experience, for the encore at dodgers last year, I bought a ticket near extended stage on one of those third party sites. I think it was tick pick or something like that. Anyways apparently the seller couldn't transfer because it was a VIP ticket and those weren't transferable. The customer service called me and offered me a ticket a little bit closer or just a refund. I took the refund because the view from the seat they offered was more to the side than I wanted and I had my refund back in a couple days. Friend ended up having an extra and it was a decent spot for face

So it more or less worked out for me🤣

It used to be right after sale and then COVID-19 happened so they switched it to after event happens because of all the refunds they had to give. A year or two ago they switched back to right after sale but then decided to switch again to after event for 2025
