Also rich parent: hides all the evidence and bribes everyone, basically encouraging the kid to continue doing the crime

then come in the 'good guys' trying to extort favors from the rich people in exchange for not revealing their past actions

instead of thinking abt actually incorporating that busywork into the story

that's one thing I really loved about HP

how the busywork is part of the drama but not too much

and how there is a HUGE cast of characters, instead of just focusing on the big 5 only
