#Preformance issues for the first 5 minutes of playing

you may be able to alleviate some of that load - i am assuming ram is your bottleneck on that inspiron (i have a 15 3000 myself) - by setting a pagefile (in brevity, it uses some of your hdd/ssd storage as ram) https://www.windowscentral.com/software-apps/windows-11/how-to-manage-virtual-memory-on-windows-11
if you are using an 8gb model and you are open to trying that then i would try min 8gb max 16gb in pagefile
I found what you were talking about but It wouldnt let me set it to anything under 16
I set it min 400 max 500 as a test Ill see how it goes
this is what it was previously set to
idk if this is realted by i cannot open the demo without crashing steam now
i mean 8-16gb (so 8192mb minimum, 16384mb maximum)
it wont hurt running it that low or anything, dont worry, but if i am on a system and using a pagefile then i am throwing a nicely sized pagefile at the problem
i think i recall it not being beneficial if it is under a certain amount compared to the amount of ram you have, i simply generally have done it in similar quantities to this, though
alr thanks
im planning on getting a new laptop for christmas so thisll be helpful till then
iirc im still using it on mine, id just rock it permanently tbh, it definitely will not hurt anything if you can afford to dedicate that little 8-16gb of storage to the task
i don't know how avidly you play minecraft, but assuming that you do have 8gb, then it will probably do you wonders on that
