#Combat isn't enjoyable

After playing the demo I found my self not enjoying combat at all. The guns feel extremely underpowered, you need like 30 bullets from pistol to kill 1 guy. Guns feel like nerf blasters. The gore was better in the first game, right now it looks like crabs, there were quite a few times when I saw crabs but it turned out to be killed chickens.

Melee combat isn't that bad, but it isn't good either, it doesn't really require any skill, you just go up to a group of enemies and spam attack.

I think it's just same as SoR1, which already was kinda "flat"

i kinda feel like npc in sor2 are even dumber

#

there is also fact in sor you need to be careful about resources, guns don't hold all that much ammo, melee weapons hardly last considerable time

#

in sor2 you have 100 pistol bullets and melee weapon lasts like 10 times longer, maybe even more

#

not strictly combat, but to put in perspective, in sor1 crowbar wastes 30% durability to open a door, in sor2 demo 3%

yeah weapons last too long in SoR 2

In SoR2 the npc combat is better tho. They actually use their firearm stat properly and (I think) don't get softlocked on doors

tru,, it is still kinda shallow tho. might be nice for a block button, and holding click (as any character) would allow u to charge up a slightly more powerful attack that can break block. still simple but with a little bit of extra depth which would be nice

Yeah that's true, but I think we're going in the right direction

#

Since we don't have quick heal anymore it'd make sense to make combat more about blocking / dodging

There is still quick heal, it's just limited to certain items
