I played some of the demo ... I like what I'm seeing of all the systems but I was disappointed really quickly that the world is much bigger and less dense yet you're still slowly walking around. I felt like I was spending very little time doing things and a huge amount of time dragging my ass from place to place. I guess you can get a car eventually but I got bored before that happened. Not a great first impression.
#Slow start.

You get a car pretty fast, not sure how long you played
i got a car within less than 10 minutes i think
Thanks @faint osprey. I didn't play for hours but it was definitely more than 15 minutes before I got bored and quit the demo. That feels like too long.
I managed to get a car within… 6ish minutes? It’s probably because I picked exhortationist which is an op money ability atm
Granted I had to run around for a while to get my bearings but once I found out how to make money I had enough to cover 3 cars
I got a car in less than 10 mins too
Would be cool if we could steal cars from them, I believe we will be able to do that with some abilities or tools in final version, hopefully
I think I saw in a trailer we could
The point is that there is a "barrier to fun" right at the beginning of the game. Some of us can learn to speedrun that barrier right away and others (like me for instance) will not be so lucky.
Why have the game make this terrible first impression? New players may find the game very boring in the first few minutes. Would it really ruin the game to just start you with a car?
