It has a 25% chance to poisen you, unless you have a trait that makes it 0%
Refills gas canister
Also causes a big oil spill if the 25% rolls, alernting cops and property owner

additionally, you'd have to be holding a gas canister/tank for that to be a more sensible feature.

also, it'd be better if there were a lot of car things we could do, and that trait makes a lot of the car actions easier would make more sense than just a siphoning only trait.

It would make more sense for it to poison you for a few seconds. Not super poison, as inhaling gasoline is disgusting but it won't instantly poison you or kill you IRL, but since this is a video game, small poison damage for like a few seconds makes sense. 25% chance is good.

To be fair to what you just added, siphoning gas is stealing. It's illegal. Idk how the crimes work, but if the owner or police see you doing it, you're already in trouble. However, if I went outside tonight IRL and siphoned gas poorly out of my friend's car, no one would notice until he came out tomorrow morning and saw it on the ground.

My point is, it doesn't make sense for you to get that 25% chance and the cops and owner getting instantly alerted, especially if they weren't nearby during it. Say I was in the middle of a desert, no one nearby, but there was a parked van there. I need gas. I'm gonna take it from there and move it to my car. I get unlucky, get small poison damage, but somehow being nowhere near anyone, the police get alerted and I start getting chased.

That just makes no sense.

Nope. But detail is important. Thinking out the flaws of an idea before you make your suggestion is crucial to making people understand the idea, which will help people vote on it.
