Some strange space debris has landed in the area!

A large space of a space shuttle will crash onto the map. Within will be a giant alien known as the queen. Which will exit accompanied by a few guards to defend it. The queen will try to move to a safe location to make a nest.

The queen lay eggs which will hatch into face huggers that will latch onto any living thing animal nearby, going quick damage. If it kills the target it will stay latches on for a moment then burst into a xenomorph (which we'll call alien hunter for copyrights sake).

If a face hugger hits the player you'll be blinded and will start taking low but rapid damage. You'll need to continually press attack to rip if off your face.

The queens goal is to make a safe nest and build a strong hive and if all goes well. Have a new queen to spread further. Her hunters will protect her, but also go out to hunt and scout out the area for threats. they also have a hive mind going on, so if the queen is in trouble all nearby xenos will be alerted and come to help her.

it's not all bad. The queen also produces a really nice Royal jelly that has really good healing properties and could be used for some high quality recipes. so if you where to say, capture one, you could make a killing. Just make sure it doesn't kill you.

But if you you don't want some jelly and just want to wipe these things out, don't worry. Fire is your friend, but if you don't have access to a flame thrower. Use music, a boom box will make it hard for the hive mind to communicate with each other, allowing you to get by without alarming the whole swarm to your location.

We got zombies, Terminator, the blob. Why not add in the xenos to the roster of monster to fight?

Other parts that didn't fit: the queen is tanky with a lot of health (like killer robot level HP maybe not as much but close) and does heavy damage up close, but is slow. And regenerates slowly back to full ho over time.

She'll always have at least 3 guards with her at all times. She can also do a sweeping attack with her giant tail to crowd control. This can break down walls.

The hunters are fast but kinda weak in defense. But make up in quick damage plus they hunt in packs.

The face huggers (idk call them carriers or something) are also fast but lunge at their enemy's to attach. They try and ambush their prey, waiting in bushes or corners to strike. Hit them out of air or just dodge.

The queen can be knocked out. But you'll need to poison it with cyanide to weaken it, then keep shorting it with tranquilizers, due to its size it needs constant injection for it to take effect.

Also gibbing any of them makes them explode Into an acid puddle, that disappears after some time. They are immune to acid.

So yeah this is my idea for another boss like enemy like the killer robot. While also giving an reason to stop, interact, and make use of it.

I like this idea but I feel it would be better if it’s something you make happen like hacking into a satellite like the first game

That could be a way to force the event to start. I just assumed that That'd they'll begin at random.

#

Since idk how disasters begin at all.

Forgot to add, if the queen dies then her drones will go into a panic. Either running to the next closet queen or if their are no queens alive just running off and just trying to survive.

Also not sure how'd look but maybe they could climb on walls to get past pits and stuff? The hunters and carriers that is.

But maybe it’s a temporary event in a specific city that could be cool

Now that you mention it, yeah that could be frustrating. But then again it can crash anywhere on the map so'd it'll be unlikely to crash on top of your house.

Maybe it can take a day or two before the shuttle opens to let you prepare. Or run away. With you being able to open It early by attacking it or something..

Doesn't really solve the whole base being compromised thing. But it'll give you a chance.

But hey all good story's need conflict. What's better conflict than an alien hive queen landing in your backyard?

Plus your base will probably be raised and raided by xenos after a while if the hive survives anyways.
