#Haunted Buildings

That's kind of where I was going with the generalization "Properties". But yeah.
that would look cool.
crossing that in the vicinity of any police basically makes them annoyed or hostile
If the building were an active crime scene I'm not sure if it would be available for purchase.
tbh I kind of got the idea from the effect of the Boo urn.
they'll probably try to make you leave if the building's condemned but turning hostile immediately is really more like one of the dystopian features of the first game.
huh
i bet you gotta pay bills too
though it makes me wonder, wouldnt that just allow you to constantly grind money
or do the bills get higher the richer you get
well it would depend on the type of bills. If you already own a property fully then all you have to pay is the property tax which is usually very cheap, at least compared to something like rent.
hmm
IRS should be added
tax collector playable char moment
basically you gotta go to each house and collect taxes
OH MY GOD
II HAVE ANNNN IDEEAAAAA
also i really hope they add the ability to buy a money printer
( 🗣️ We're committing tax fraud with this one! )
We should be able to charge the ghosts rent.
I don't even think the dead can be taxed anymore.
darn
if only ghosts had a more signifigant role
like them haunting you and making your character go crazy
I just had an idea for ghosts: to make them useful, you need a spirit box to talk to them (its basically translator but for ghosts)
Yeah like maybe if you break or remove the original furniture of the house they become annoyed or hostile.
Job: ghost hunter
Perks: Ghost hunter, you won't get annoyed reactions from cops if you enter a haunted estate
weapons: ghost gibber
Pay: 30-105
Cons: ghosts hate you and immediately are hostile
I think the scientist starts with a ghost gibber too.
yhh
this lingers even after you are off the clock and the chances of a ghost appearing in your home are higher due to you pissing off the spirits
Killing people has the same effect, there's a 1 in 100 chance that a person you killed before will become a ghost and try to haunt you
thats funny
Honestly a scientist going into a haunted building would probably also not bother the police just because there's a lot of science to unpack about the afterlife.
sub-classes would actually be pretty neat ngl.
yeah makes making custom chars way bigger in variety
probably could add SOR1 robots in for the Sub-classes for robot
Butler, cop, etc
Drug dealer could be broken down into Pusher (earns more money) and chemist (Lots of crafting recipes)
lol
yee
and chef could be moved to a sub-class for bartender 👀
they're both food related after all
Mixology is a little different than cooking. Enough to where it is considered a different skillset.
hmm
yes
more use for the ghost gibber
wait
what if
when all the residents of a building are killed after a while it will turn into a haunted house
But only if you kill them all in a single day.
And they all have to be in the building when they die, of course.
yeah
thats a perfect ghostbusters / luigis mansion reference without directly referencing it (sorta)
though we need something that STUNS ghosts
(makes them dizzy and easier to kill)
I was thinking you would be able to buy haunted houses and mansions for dirt cheap compared to other properties just like in the movies.
ooo
true
what about haunted businesses too
at night ghosts appear and ruin things and lower the property value.
during the day everything's 'normal' just decreased luck
luck is an interesting hidden stat, Making the RNG a little worse in haunted buildings is not a bad idea.
imagine if that happens
