#Wanted poster

the first problem i see with this: couldn't you abuse this? not to mention what happens after they kill or knockout the wanted target, couldn't I just get a poster (or several) and lure all the targets i wanted out of their building and let the non-aligned NPC's neutralize them for me?
not to mention other things, like:
- do you choose the amount of money that is the reward?
- what happens if they just knock out the target? do they somehow take it to you?
- what if you put down a poster, and the target was already dead? does the poster automatically go away?
- what if you chose a person, but since the permanent NPC's have a life, job and routine, they moved? then the place you put the poster wouldn't be helpful unless they came back there?
- i assume they dont despawn until the deed is done.
just a few questions, all relatively basic to think of, more details in this post would've been nice. but there's a lot of time to add those details.
I also have an extra question, the cops should quickly find out that someone is illegally hanging wanted posters, take 'em off and probably pursue you, don't you think?
There’s a chance you didn’t see either of these bc we didn’t respond. See them now?
the idea in and of itself is really cool... It's just kind of bad? I mean, I'd love to put out wanted posters and use them, it'd be super cool. but just all these make it kind of like a bad idea.
to answer this, maybe you get the cop trait, (I forgor it's name) or bribe a cop, you could post these without them getting ripped down
They haven’t responded to anyone.
So
For me at least it’s not a great sign.
It’s an interesting idea, and I’ve had my own suggestion for bounties. But this seems really exploitable without more details.
its just something like the walkie talkie, but to attract most npcs instead of just cops. There is no bounty nor anything else, its not that deep. Just destroy someone's life with a shallow lie
i don't use discord that often
yes thats a good point. Should trigger the same command as when someone destroy property
like with vandalism. I think it should be treated exactly as vandalism, code-wise
only people who see it would get hostile
but does it work in which classes? thief? cannibals?
any. Its streets of rogue, we just tell some lies about someone and people will kill them
how is that different from, say, walkie talkie? There are plenty of items that easily kills people, you guys are overthinking something simple
we have cyanide pills that can kill everybody in a building in a single use
what's the context of this
been a minute
more than 16 days
you said its exploitable
but it would not even be the strongest item if put in the first game
there are better items for every advantage this one offers
there are ones that has more granted death, that generates more chaos, that are safer, that are cleaner, etc
its not exploitable, its just how the game works
i think it's exploitable, you dont. we disagree, and that's fine. it's not going to be my decision to put it in, it'd be Matt's. so even though i disagree and am the only one out of 10 who agreed, i couldnt care less. it's not up to me in the end.
have a good day/night dude. glad you are passionate about your idea though.
