It'd just be simpler to implement a phone call system without the hassle of "capturing" NPCs

If you're nice enough to them, you can get their cell number (if they have one) and call on them if you need something. They'll tell you over the phone how long it'll take to get there

don't they have teleporters anyway? or is that not gonna be a thing in the sequel

i do like the idea that instead of just taking followers as you get them like in SoR1, you get a roster of allies to call up if and when you need them
