I tried your latest method. I'm now experiencing foot sliding and after the idle break, the entire sequence stops

Well, do you return back from Idle Break state?

You can start PIE, then open your ABP and select your game instance here.
You'll be able to see what's going on in your anim graph.
In my example, I've set the transition to Idle to be automatic.
Foot Sliding, from my perspective, looks like the animation blending issue.
It could be that he blend in time is too big, could be that there's a pose mismatch between Idle and Idle Break anims.

Nah my posing is good. Something else is causing the foot slide. See this earlier example
And State Machine?
Play Idle Break bool never gets turned off, it's cleary seen at the right corner.
so, i'll have to turn it off (unchecked) then?
