Yeah this sounds fun! There is no way I am going to make anything super stunning, but it seems like an awesome challenge 👏
What prevents people from submitting work they've worked on for weeks? I get that the theme is not announced until the 1st day of the event, but entire systems could be made by entire teams of people.
How can they limit the number of participants per submission?
I assume it would not be a fair event if a team of 1 submitted against several teams of 5. We have seen historically that the size of the team does not directly lead to a fun game, but the size of the team can make it easier.
"Prizes
There are no physical or cash prizes for the competition. Your prize is your product.
That said, you have a game now. What are you going to do with it?"
I'd say that's a good deterrent for cheaters.
Ah that makes sense. I am trying to figure out my own jam for my own discord communities, which does have a prize, just trying to find out how fairness could be streamlined in to it.
With this it says from scratch is that no packages or addons too lol
Or just meaning from an empty level.
Gotta live stream it all. No breaks
