The Epic Games Launcher is such a weird hybrid.

  • It's a Slate Unreal "Program" using the standalone slate renderer.
  • Doesn't use Slate to render the internals of the store, that uses a browser view.
  • Switches to a slate exclusive render when you're in the Unreal Engine tab.
  • Uses the last shared-texture supported version of CEF (hack, which is common for CEF these days).
