Cascade was pretty easy to figure out because it was just a few preset modules. When you wanted to make custom modules it got a bit funky tho. Niagara is that level of funkiness multiplied by my socks.

The pic doesn't really show how it's being held properly. If you were to rest your forearm on a table, you generally don't rest it palm down. Your hand normally is slightly side on.

milestone for me: made my first proper successful packaged build of my game in UE5 with nanite, lumen and worldpartition- for worldpartition i merged 4 smaller maps that were on the same overall "continent" in the lore into one- that map is now about 8-10x larger than any of the given individual maps. the load on the GPU to try to combine those levels without any of worldpartition's secret sauce to optimize virtual textures is really rough
it was really cool after having completely horrendous blotchy textures and tons of crashes to having it successfully converted to worldpartition where it could actually handle the virtual texturing properly

I don't make assets myself, but nanite is useful regardless of the fidelity of meshes you have. It is much easier to get good performance on kitbashing and reduces the need for manual LOD optimizations
