At least judging by VirusTotal stats of common malwares, ESET and MalwareBytes are okay when it comes to third party antivirus.
But for the love of god avoid Avast, McAfee, AVG, and other "free" antiviruses at all costs

FWIW if you want free security with less sneaking, Linux (and to some extent Mac) is pretty much the way. At least desktop distros don't have much when it comes to malware.
Also if you have the hardware to spare, you can set up a Windows kernel virtual machine while allowing it to use your hardware directly
Any distros with Linux 5 kernel should support KVM by this point

If you want true mirror for something like cinematic, you may consider faking the mirror with duplicate flipped geometry. Oldskool trick.
