I'd say it's also a matter of how well the tools work
for example speedtree has a nice way of doing high poly branches and then baking them down to simpler geometry. It's not perfect and could be improved but it's still better than what most other tree gen software does

Well all I had big plans but it looks like they may not come to pass, I wrote the python code which was painfully slow to convert 1/9th arc second maps to map rasters and then into unreal friendly map blocks with the intent of making a block loader for unreal to handle large height maps, in this case a 644,000 sq km map with a 10m x and y resolution and a 1m z resolution.
Depending on the results of testing - which has to be sent away on Monday my time to be verified I may not live long enough to achieve anything, if it turns out that is indeed the case I will quite happily give anyone who is interested the code so they can do it themselves, be warned though 1/9th arc second 1 degree map chunks are HUGE.

Depends on the machine, and if you are using cables or blades
tri blades can go through small trees, although I don't recommend it. Never saw a tri blade get bogged down in anything. But again it needs a decent motor to power it efficiently

they left a voicemail. i have it recorded somewhere. agent john smith from something like "the fraud department" of the tax office

usually these scammers piggyback on legit services, I had one lot of emails, every time I used paypal somehow this spam knew and Id get a fake email

best part is when they tell you that the call is being recorded by 5 or 6 different agencies. "this is a conference call between the tax office, the department of justice, the federal police, the office of the prime minister, and jesus christ"

Scam phonecalls don't seem to be that much of a problem where I live, instead I just get telemarketers with their scripted sales pitches where they always say "we have GOOD NEWS for you!" and then they try to sell you something just for the price of shipping

took the respondy guy 5 seconds of digging to determine that it was just an unpaid bill for the domain name

I once made a donation to something which turned out to be a thinly veiled "not really a donation" and they sent me some magazine as a "thank you" for it
I informed them I will not be paying their invoice for it because of above reason
So they informed me I need to send back the magazine and I'm like "ok"
