Dialogue does play a part, a bit more akin to Skyrim or Fallout NPCs referencing events... Save for the Arch-Enemy that is generated based on your character creation choices (think a more in depth Mount and Blade history selection system), that procedural dialogue system is much more in depth.

like my speakers that I have on my desk have a setting on them to reduce bass output if you place them next to a wall or into a corner and they do really produce way too strong bass if it's in a corner without that setting on :P

You're right; it's going to sound pretty much like shit across all headphones. Because you have a lot of the same limitations. It's not like everyone is going to be using a flat reference set of headphones that are going to be positioned the same on their head. Even if they did, it's really difficult to use two drivers to trick your brain into the perception of spacial sound because your brain is very good at determining the timing and changes in sound based on your specific ear configuration.
And that's why you're far better off with using a lot speakers because then you aren't trying to fake positioning by using timing and sound altering

And there are a couple of different automated systems that do a pretty good job of correcting for distance and placement of speakers, as well as making adjustments for room acoustics to produce a more flat response. So you don't have to build a perfect room (though a little bit of room treatment does help a lot)

There was a blog post about the Oodle integration a while back, and I thought it was strange the way they said "You can try it soon in Unreal Engine 4.27 and Unreal Engine 5." Never seen two versions mentioned together like that, so that was my first tip they might come around the same time.
