To hell with porting to mobile. The game is built for PC and consoles in mind, and I ignored the mobile limitations entirely.

I mean, I know that Indonesians largely game on mobile, but I'm not seeing it as a good risk and rewards. Mobile gamers shit their pants seeing pay to play games, even if the price is cheaper than the PC / console version. While my game is single player only, and has no lootboxes, cancerous free to play mechanics, nor built in direct social features.

Make a plane, use knife tool and trace around the edge. Delete excess faces. Project from view for the uv. Triangulate if necessary.

I'd make two parts: The flat part I would just trace and thicken. The wire part, just use a curve and give it some thickness to make it a wire.

Use the image and a color ramp to create the stamped part by way of height offsets.

doing that with UE for some reason appears to not give it a GPU handle or something, it fails to create the D3D SwapChain

so I had to configure autologin so a user actually logs in on machine startup and then the task gets ran

Node.js script on my VPS commands EC2 to launch a server with my game installed on it, game has a special screenshot level which gets launched when the EC2 machine boots, it takes a screenshot and calls a .bat file which runs WinSCP to upload it back to the Node script on the VPS, which then shuts the server down again

Its a shame that it's such an important marketing tool, especially in game dev because its popular with devs in general. But then you can be ousted for a misplaced comment. Which is always subjective and localised. I had a popular dev warn people not to work with me and pretty much called me a paedo and nothing was done. Even the company ignored me when I emailed them several times. But ultimately if a platform holds so much power to stain a reputation and yet protect those people without allowing recourse, it's truly not worth investing the time in.

Functional... sort of. The interesting thing is, all languages use lisp under the hood during compilation. They call it an Abstract Syntax Tree, but it can be expressed in s-expressions (Lisp format).

OH, yeah. That's a workaround for the various versions of Common Lisp. In this case, CCL or ECL work differently.

It's like C but you move the parenthises over. So instead of MakeHashTable(:test 'eq) You get what you see above. The reasons make sense once you start using the language, since you can create macros that can generate code just like you could generate XML.

No. There are several ways that can be faster. The Coroutine approach where you can return to the top at any time and pull results one at a time and start up where you left off. Also, tail calls just remove an unnecessary function stack call, so it just jumps to the top of the function.

Without an iterator, it can be faster in some cases.

Haskell solves those kinds of things in a quite interesting way

you don't have to write code to deal with returning and then being able to pick up from there if you wanted to continue the search

but because Haskell is inherently lazy, it simply won't execute any more than it needs to

say you only use a part of an array, it will never iterate the rest of it

but you just write it as a regular iteration, you don't need to specifically accommodate that
