When I originally started a few years back it was mostly these things that made it tricky for me
(1) The wall, a whole lotta stuff shoved in your face at once and overwhelming you with where to even start.
(2) Vague errors/ lacking feedback
(3) Rampant "I am very smart" syndrome so alot of tutorials/examples/guides/documentation are written in ways that make even the best readers feel damn near illiterate.
(4) Developers (too frequently) just flat out dont give a damn about the user experience of the dev tools they make.
and the ABSOLUTE WORST ONE
(5) Im going to do this for now but you dont need to worry about why i did that ill explain it later. (Proceeds to never explain it)

Not really no, theres consequences to leaving a job, you have bills to pay, a lease your stuck in for a year, possibly debts and other such things, losing company insurance if its provided and such.
Mind you this is from my usa perspective not so much the uk or eu where depending on the specific country you probably do have a bit more freedom in leaving when work conditions are unfavorable xD

Its fine for you if thats how you enjoy living your life. But some people want/have a family they need to support and be with, and theres also a massive mental health burden on many, often sleep is sacrificed if you want to spend time with friends or family at all which directly correlates to degredation in your performance, increased anxiety, depression, and shaving years off your lifespan

I have been ripped off before, too many times in webdev, but that made me take the stance of "I am the boss, you hire my services" and if they come at me with a shitty contract, I come back with a counter-contract. If they refuse to budge, I walk. Simple.

One idea I had was a tally system. If someone makes a complaint about a company and goes through the process of getting lost earnings or such due unpaid overtime (and there was contractual protection in place), the company should have to pay a kind of "bail". Then the onus is on them to treat employees well and fair.
Last time I went to court for lost earnings it took me 2 years to resolve and I was fine with that as I lost nothing really. I gained the inspiration to get the hell away from that crap company 😄

Thats a good concept, I think a big thing is giving workers better access to legal options. (at least in the usa) third party Arbitration can be nice for that sometimes.

Yeah and some of the work is factory farmed work. Thats why I dont do AAA. You are a chicken in a coup putting out artwork or basic dev that there is a lot of people willing to do. So the disposable element comes from your position and skill. If you are in the right job, doing what they need, you are not disposable. You may be replaceable but with what? Someone who is not right for the job, who needs further training, who costs more, who might kill your workflow speed, etc.
Imagine if everyone stood up during the final crunch phase and said "We want $50 an hour more to crunch". The company would shit. They would have to pay it or push back development or end up losing so much financially that its better to pay them and get it done with. Especially close to release.

Yeah, they wanted remote access and then wanted me to download some software and run it as admin. The actual issue was their licensing server was blocking my vpn ip.

its like cascade on drugs. Modular as hell. The similarities bear no resemblance in terms of UI, but its the same thing. Module + tweak + combine with another module = win
it removes the need for making custom code for Cascade too. Because with cascade you are limited to what is there in the true sense. You need to goto C++ to extend it. Niagara seems to be so dynamic that you dont need to do that. Plus its modular with other elements of the engine
In cascade if you wanted a module that let you get information for a custom blueprint for example. you would need to code it. Niagara just has that already

@junior meteor the problem with mankind is we are a conflicting entity. Part of mankind thinks those who want a collective mankind are pussies. Another part feels its not possible until everyone is forced to think the same, and the truth is, we are all separate entities with individuality so there will always be part of humanity willing to subjugate the other parts. And they do it because you can always pay one half of the poor, to kill the other half. Such is life.
