I liked the general idea of the Doki Doki Literature Club, but the problem was that you would spend 30 minutes just pressing the 'next' button while you read dialogue and didn't even make any choices.
Yes, I know it is a visual novel, and I went in expecting a lot of reading and few choices. But this particular visual novel goes a very long time before you get to actually start making choices in the story.

So 9 months into UE4 and I have 3 key takeaways: 1. Many things are magic (tick a box, drag some thing cool into your map), 2. your missing the idea of what you want done by trying to stop it from happening in the first place
your goal is to only allow the jump, the jump itself not the jump button event, from happening if they are in the air.

Ok blackfox. I press 2 jumps and i get double jump. If i walk and fall from edge and I AM in air and press 2x jump, it does double jump. I dont want that doublejump from just falling

well the generic question was preventing jump from working when you were in the air and that solves it

@zinc matrix you have to store a flag "can a double jump happen". On press of the jump button, you check if you're in air OR if "can a double jump happen" is true - if you're not in air, you set "can a double jump happen" to true and jump

by default what you want should work, it does work for me (falling off a ledge and being only able to jump once when max jump is set to 2)
perhaps your falling off the ledge is still on the ledge and not actually in the air

Basically your jump can only happen if you're NOT flying OR if you completed the first jump

Once you jump, if it's the first time, you permit a second jump, otherwise you must reset the flag to false on second jump (to prevent third jump)
