When you buy the monitor, make sure its connectors are compatible with your GPU.
It's more an issue for DisplayPort users and not so much for HDMI, but compare the tech specs carefully anyway.

they can't always put the patch notes out too early because people will theorycraft how to break the game and they will feel obliged to fix it first, which leads to more patch notes, which leads to other broken things. Best to just put them out a day or two before release and let it fly.
