I've had a coffee each morning, bar a few running out of coffee accidents where I opted for tea and one period where I gave up for 6 months to see what happened, since I was 8 years old. My physical body doesn't even comprehend how to react without one anymore. When I stopped for 6 months, I was training regularly with running and martial arts so I think that helped. But it only takes one bad sleep and the requirement to need energy (usually for a job) and you are back on the devil's black water

umm... EA Sports FC is also deterring kids from exercising. As is many of other games. There is an infinite list of things that do. But a sign that says No Ball Games is generally seen near people's homes where there are lots of windows. Maybe an estate where old or sick people are cared for. And believe me when I say it never stops the kids who want to play ball games there. Didn't in my day, it wouldn't now.
I remember one time, after school, a few of us when to this little green area the size of an indoor 5 a side football pitch. But it had one of these signs. I booted the ball pretty hard and it flew into the road, hit a car windshield. The car screeched to a stop and this absolute yeti looking maniac stomped over to us and shouted "Who TF threw that ball?". Everyone froze. I said "Sorry it was me it was an accident". He then proceeded to beat the crap out of me in front of everyone. Happy days ๐
the odd thing about it is... I was about 13 or 14 years old. He was about 30. And I didn't even blame him for it. I deserved it for being stupid. Simpler times.

Quick Q: making a farming game, the tools just interact with the crop field actor. When a tool interacts with the field, would you put the logic in the BP or the crop field c++ class? Right now for example, I use the Hoe, it traces to a spot on the field and calls HoeField(this spot).

I'd split it. Have the hoe decide how the hoe works, then let the field decide what to do when it is used by a tool (like a hoe). Pass the hoe to the field so it can respond.
You can have some logic on both sides. If you hoe something and you want your super hoe to do something funky, you can respond somehow there too.

It's all about delegation and ownership.
Just because you have a class, like a hoe, that does 7 things, they don't all have to live inside that one class. You can delegate to components that provide reusable code for other tools, use subclasses to keep interfaces (not actual interfaces, just apis) clean.

I consider all this moot-work. First, it's only optimised versions of what we have now, with perhaps a different injection point of compilation of shaders. Something we can already determine at the will of the developer essentially anyhow (but obviously not the ideal of real-time). Second, just because the tools are there doesn't mean developers will use them. This is the real issue with shader stuttering from the game's side. Bad optimisation and pre-caching. It's actually been an issue since forever, but as the internet echo chambers got louder after COVID, all the blame started to shift towards UE5. Which happened to be the one pushing streaming textures and geometry as a core feature.
I believe the ultimate solution is to solve the realtime issue and you know where that is leading to. The dreaded AI implementation. Of which we are most certainly many years if not decades away from having any viability and cannot be used now. So is the answer to keep optimising the tech which people seem to avoid using? It only serves the purpose of helping those that do use the tech properly, so the answer is yes but it won't stop the issue.
