Do you like using the reroute node?
I learnt about it from that materials tutorial I posted... two days ago, I guess. Lets you cleanly direct BP nodes.
ReRoute allows you add a null point along your BP route between two BP nodes.
That way, like curves in photoshop, you can arrange your BP lines properly.
It's nothing, actually. Only when you are adding it, it has the appearance of a small node, but after you finish adding and connecting your two actual nodes, it turns into a simple curve point.

Yeah, on the laptop workstation, I just had to insert the SSD into the port.
Here, there are two separate cables.
The smaller one goes into the smaller pinset of the SSD and then to the MOBO.
I think the bigger one comes from the power supply.

I've never installed an SSD into a PC before.
I went from HDD computer to sealed laptop to SSD laptop workstation.
From there straight to SUPAH POWAH PC.
I only upgrade once in 10-12 years, soo....

Well, new learning for me.
Apparently, it is perfectly fine for PSUs to daisy-chain SSD drives with just one connector.
I was alarmed for a bit when I found four SATA connectors on just one cable.

Hmm, apparently SATA S ports are handled by the MOBO chipset itself. SATA P ports are considered peripheral/processor.
Gemini doesn't tell me there's any difference in the way either is handled though.

No. The drive had an iffy connector when I first bought it. Somehow, my laptop workstation managed to recognise it. I guess two years of inactivity finally did whatever was wrong with the connector in.
I thought jiggling and wiggling it and the connectors would help. Troubleshot it six times with six reboots.

The PC detected the SSD ONCE and froze on BIOS, because it undetected it the next second.
So, I learned why it's a not-so-good idea to enable SSD Port Hot Swap.
Anyhoo, I have 1TB more space than I did today morning, to move garbage into.

Well I have secure boot disabled so that wasnt an issue, my first distro kinda failed, second worked but couldnt get Nvidia 1xxx NVENC support in OBS so went to Pop, first download failed cuz I used the Nvidia one where I shoulda downloaded Nvidia drivers after. The 1xxx series is no longer supported on Linux
