If you made any changes to a project's executable or renamed the folder, or duplicated a project, it won't appear in the launcher immediately.
You have to open the project through Unreal Engine launched through the launcher, manually.
Then, after you save it and close UE, it'll appear in the launcher.

Yes and no.
Depending on your skill level, you can use shortcuts and retopologise the mesh pretty quickly.
Having a prototype just makes things go so much quicker.
I bet there are ZBrush artists who know how to give those AI rendered meshes some solid definition points, and then decimate it with ZBrush.

Not really. The time you spend looking for 'base' characters also has to be factored in. How much time do you spend browsing assets?
I grant it is far more interesting and painfully modelling everything, but time spent is still time spent.
I recently generated a 3D mesh with Huanyin of an assassin character, and I would not find the base meshes for those without paying money. Even then, I'd have to customise it.
Huanyin gave me exactly what I had sketched.
Modelling that out would be TONS faster, especially if I knew ZBrush tricks. I am a beginner at ZBrush though.

There are some rules for these and they can be automated. At the end, it will take time until that task is AI-ed. And why not, I guess, people should focus on the idea, not dig hours for details. Corpos should focus on subscribing you only ๐

I had a pain in my foot a few years back. It felt like I had a stone in my shoe, and the more I walked on it the more my foot would swell up until I couldn't walk on it. One time it went black and red (as I was stood up for 2 days constantly at an Expo showing off our VR game). So I go to the doctor several times and they basically shrugged. So I went online and on the NHS website I found out it was a Morton's Neuroma. It literally said "the patient may feel as though they have a stone in their shoe". So I went back to the doctors and told him. He looked it up, booked me a steroid injection in my foot and it went away in a few weeks. But it took about a year and I had to give up martial arts in that time. I was so pissed off

Ahh yes you can export relative coords but then when you try to place those in the world you still get the offset. Why is there no solution to such a fundamental thing. You dont want duplicate assets just for a pivot

that's only true with regulated gambling. There are too many gambling systems in gaming that are unregulated and can easily be manipulated by the requirements of profits of the company. Unfortunately not all games do this. In the UK we have the Gambling Commission that does this. Any form of gambling has to adhere to strict rules. They are also audited and software is CRC checked so it cannot be tampered with (technically it still can but the fines are huge if you get caught). I feel the same legislation should apply to games with gambling mechanics as they do with slot machines. Consider it takes 6-12 months to get audited and verified to be able to even release a slot machine in the uk (alongside the fees which are quite substantial and would out-cost any low budget games), then we could minimise the destructive element of training people to gamble through games. Especially children.

actually it was just one other guy, the artist who owned the company. He was great at art, but had to learn blueprinting as he went and did most things wrong with spaghetti code and bad practice. I did my best (at that time as I was still learning UE4) but some things were too difficult for him to understand properly so he worked around everything I advised. The fact the game released at all is still a feat and I respect his intentions. He went on to be successful in virtual production though. That seemed more his thing anyway.

I wouldn't say he failed at making games. He released 7 of them. But where he would cut corners for simplicity, I would have done things a different way as best practice dictated. I have a lot of respect for the fact he spent years doing it even though I had my gripes.
