Ive been thinking on this whole BL4 performance thing. I do find it odd we only have a slider essentially from low - epic rather than presets which suit actual performance goals. Having to tweak individual variables in advanced settings for people who dont know what theyre doing isnt an ideal scenario

tried to make a basic weapon system where if you pick up a weapon and drop it and then re-pick it up it should have the same ammo count, but since I am destroying the variable it is then unable to retreive that value, been trying stuff for like 3 days and I think I am close but it is stressing me out

because when I drop it I actually destroy the actor variable so it doesnt show in my hands and doesnt do the scripts dependent on that and then it spawns a pickup actor that then intiliazes the gun if I pick it up

okay so if its a weapon actor any variables contained within it will stay with the weapon, youre just transferring the actor to the players hands Im assuming so it might be UI related

or perhaps you are destroying the actor instead of transferring it

it is transferring with the weapon but the ammo counter was not added yet so there was no problem with the script and how it was being handled as there were enums and weapon names that were consistent, now theres an ammo integer and it is getting my monke brain confused
