This is actually interesting. I think Masterchef has only ever had a couple of cooking sessions with kangaroo meat, and that too in the first couple of seasons of the show.

So, I edit the material of my cloner's rectangle in Material Designer and choose the translucent preset. The 'Base Color' attribute is supposed to appear along with Emissive and Opacity channels.

For some reason, it doesn't. It's also disabled in the channels menu.

SO, I just swap between materials (of two rectangles in the scene) to check for discrepancies.

'Cuz you know, I am old and might have forgotten something. It happens.

As I did that, and finished swapping three times, the Base color channel suddenly appears in Material Designer for the second rectangle.

I adjusted all the parameters of the second cloner and hit the play button to make sure everything was hunky-dory. Guess what? UE decided to bug out and how a silhouette of my zero opacity asset in the viewport - something like how you get monitor ghosting artefacts.
Normally, I'd panic and delete the new assets, or try to undo the animation. Instead, I just restarted the engine.
Everything was perfect after restarting.
