The gameplay is great. Very smooth, no stutters, nothing, even on Ultra Nightmare quality whatever.

The storyline is just meh, although the environments are great and the story barely ties everything together.

It's a good game. I enjoyed the demo and the full version doesn't disappoint. You have to be on your toes, while out on patrol. I don't know if the encounters are procedurally generated, or fixed, but they are quite fun.

The difficulty comes in following the police handbook. Make sure you get all the offenses properly marked, evidence checked, suspect searched, rights read, etc. etc.

Combat is okay, but aiming can be improved a lot.

The point is Tolkin has different style and system. Herbert's work is very rich on allegories. One just has too find what stands behind each person, organization and symbol.

I think there's just like a big 'gap in moral philosophy' between Herbert and Tolkien, in Tolkien's universe the good guys are good because they don't let the cynicism of the world drag them down, they neve stoop to the level of the bad guys, it's kind of like Aristotelian 'good virtue' morality where the good guys are virtuous and do good, in Herbert's universe 'doing good' is often perceived as naive, and gets punished, and you can't be a good guy without being more conniving and manipulative than your foes.

Kinda makes me thing that Tolkein would have surely hated GRRM.

And the dune movies were not very good, I personally was pretty stoked about them before the release, watched the first one in the cinema, but by the time second one came out I could barely care and when I watched it at home I got bored and never finished it, and I literally read like 6 of the dune novels, some of them multiple times, and I watched the Lynch movie and the sci-fi channel mini series, I really think that there was just something uninspired in Villeneuve's adaptation.

I have a map of Entity handles and gridsquares, and it's expensive as heck to get data from the entity handles every time I need to do neighbor checking in a grid square for flocking (each entity is checking up to 60 neighbors for their position, velocity) And it's terrible random access, and repeated accesses a lot, so instead I store everything in the TMap Array thing which I think lives in cache mostly, probably, and it like 10x faster including overhead

I use a similar pattern in 3 other processors now and plan on using it in more, so instead I'm going to try and have my grid processor copy the data of each entity in a grid square to the grid cord in a similar pattern so hopefully I'm only pulling into cache that square's worth of entity data instead of having one big Marray

#
