An ideal use would be animatable NPCs with individual actions, but even without that, spawning multiple static entities across a map is very useful by itself.

I mean I appreciate the optimism and Im sure all game designers do have those sort of pie in the sky ideas swimming around in their brains but Ive seen whole sandboxes in SecondLife destroyed by bugs. Its really difficult at compile time to know what sort of hardware targets there are etc. They mention having heaps of concurrent users so thats alot of different configurations, that alone is room for error
you just wait till they have a bug similar to one of those node packages where something wasnt signed or renewed and everything goes down because so many people rely on it
