The problem is, all the leviathans are set in place. They wont leave. So you can just avoid those areas. Plus they're constantly screaming so you know they're there. Not much of a problem really. It's not really fun, the secondary feeders in subnautica (stalkers, sand/bone sharks, amp eels) also constantly scream. No idea why. Gasopods and reefbacks do to, but they travel in packs, so they're social creatures that are just communicating with each other (I assume) so it's fine.
