I am not too particular about what crops are grown there, but let me continue my story.
It turned out that the population of said agri-world was mutated by the mutating crops, which were in turn influenced by the forces of Chaos.
I ordered the hive city of that section of the populace burned and then, asked a Tech Priest order to establish their branch there, to maintain order among the crops.
They then came up with a brilliant idea, to convert a portion of the crops into drugs.
They called them battle stimulants, but whatever. Thereafter, I gained a steady source of drug income AND the tech priests vapourised any mutations they came across.
Ultimately, it was a win-win for me.

yeah it's all a trade off. Probably over-tuned because it affects currency though. No doubt they will drop the weighting on that in time. Being this is Standard and Early Access, the result of currency farms doesn't matter by the time leagues hit, and the dupes can be dealt with easily enough. So better to have more currency to keep people in the EA for now I would think.

Didn't you like the historical realism? I would add that to the positives. They tried more realistic approaches. The combat was annoying to me. And being in pre-defined role (e.g. The Witcher) somewhat makes me avoid it. The graphics was certainly nice, CryEngine.

So, as I have been playing this game, I've noticed something that's common with the lighting in Unreal Engine games. When you enter and exit between rooms and the open world, there's a second or two of extreme brightness (when going to the open world outside, bright sunshine) and darkness (when entering a room).
The engine then adjusts the light to what's 'normal'. Is that a UE quirk?
Or is that insufficient work put into adjusting the lights by the devs?

When I made a training project in UE 5, I had a similar effect, where the lighting took a few seconds to 'come on', transitioning from darkness to proper lighting gradually. This was on a 970M.

Well, I'd have made the transitions a bit less extreme/jarring, provided it's not an engine quirk.
I get going from indoor lighting to bright sunshine can be a bit harsh in real life, but it should not be blindingly bright.
If it can be controlled by the devs, that's good to know, because I'd like to make those adjustments in my projects.

so much tech into 'faking' a perspective that doesn't exist
we're improving with optics, ai, syncornization, etc.
i'd like to see 'shared' experiences, where we have a commonality, but our own version of it. not sure if you recall but before matrix was a movie called Existenz. really made you think. the ultimate holy grail is some sort of neural linked gaming, but it pushes too many boundaries that expose dangerous possibilities

I finally did the special request for linus that rewards you the fiber seeds. I now have 2 stacks of fiber. Was taking me days just to get 60 fiber.
Realized that grass in the mines has higher chances of giving fiber. And also gives you alot more. Assumed it be the same just easier because you can constantly refresh the sources by entering and leaving the floor
And I dont think trees you plant on YOUR farm can grow moss. Just trees everywhere else, even if you plant them as long as it's not on your farm, they'll be able to get moss.
Mossy seeds tho, that'll be useful.
