The only problem is crafting a good crossbow for him.
I am inflicting 6 ailments with rapid fire and that requires the crossbow to have an attack of each element.
😒 You can imagine that's a PITA to craft.
It doesn't help that rapid fire has been balanced to have 60% converted to fire damage. That reduces what's left to divert to other elements.
Also, I have yet to craft a crossbow that inflicts chaos damage. I haven't got an essence for that either.
Yeah, if you don't command them to attack, especially bosses, they just ignore everything around them.
Minions seem to have a very SMALL detection radius.

I found merc gets a bit rough in act 2. It still has the dps to carry through, but the damage ramp + not completing resistances + having 20-30% ar or ev at that time. Makes it a risky melee play for crowds. Especially with fast melee enemies stacking around you. The dodge roll is OP but can only do so much.
Same thing with the Monk but I expect that changes once you hit your lvl18 skill

in fact, the best merc is probably lightning specced.

That seems to be what most people really had a problem with when they complained about "elden poe2". Some builds just can't do some bosses. But on a first playthrough you cannot adjust because you don't have enough skill gems to deal with the change in time

I read every Tintin book. They were a staple of my library visits as a kid. When they made the movie I was so hyped and it lived upto it (although it was a bit of a mish-mash in terms of using artistic license). Spielberg said he would be doing a sequel at some point (likely Red Rackham's treasure combined with another story) but it hasn't happened yet. Shame. The animation in the movie is brilliant

Nah. I doubt that happens. There's probably just a lot of people who want to play the game, OR a very limited queue with people getting kicked regularly (because of what you said about the servers).
They might also have bot attacks on their servers, too. God knows there's a ton of cyberattacks and spam these days.
Outsourcing is all well and good, but unless the team you outsource to specialises in your game's code - pays close attention to it - it won't be the same as sorting out the issues yourself.
Of course, this all assumes they care enough to do it.

I was using a 5ghz channel, which had poor signal strength. Which makes sense, bevausecit has shorter range and I'm kinda far from the router. Switching to the 2.4 channel vastly improved the signal strength and I haven't had a issue since. I will need to play more just to make sure.

I think I'm giving up on stalker2 till another patch or two.... too much stuttering and load problems, not to mention AI issues
usually its not till I've been playing an hour or 2 that it starts to get the occasional stutter and then a slow but steady frame drop...
this time, not even 10 min and all of a sudden I was playing at 5ps, once I got away from a body of water it kinda got better, but looking in certain directions just dropped the frame rate
and I'm only playing on medium graphics settings
but now I dont know what to do

and it takes forever to load back up cause it keeps trying to recompile shaders, and 90% of the time it fails, and if you're lucky, it just locks up so you can close it and then restart where it'll say "oops shaders failed, will skip this time"
if not lucky, it says it failed then brings up the press any key to continue screen, but wont accept input, so you have to restart and try again
I've been able to look past that and carry on, but the stuttering/graphics issues have become too much
the AI's perfect aim is also getting a bit ridiculous and a PITA
havent seen those issues. Some trees/etc in the far distance have had a white/no texture effect on 'em, but its always loaded up as I got closer
