i just got a fun side project idea. thouhts? it would be implenting a portal mechanic where you actually physically move through the portal, instead of trickery used in other games. well it would still kinda be trickery. make the portal guns ammo move slowly, while its on its way to hit a surface (or have a long portal opening animation), asynchronously load in a perfect copy of the small environment in a way that you would actually move through the portal.

I prioritised Rapid Shot and debuffing the enemy. So far, I put four or five ailments on them pretty quickly, but the DoT isn't great yet. I am level 60 and on the last Cruel Act.
My Gemling is a tank, with 2k life right now. He'll probably have 3.5k at level 80-85, given the STR and ascendancy skills doubling the attribute benefits.
If I can't get the DoTs to do well, I'll just specialise in lightning damage, because just like Hammer of the Gods for warriors, galvanic shards + shockwave pulse combo is a mercenary's boss killer.
Plasma Cannon is great, too, but just like Space Marines, light bolter rapid fire is just AWESOME. 😄
