And I understand why, you are at a massive disadvantage at close range if you are on kbm, and most fights happen at close range
In patch notes for the last season the nerfed aim assists slightly (didn't do anything, needs to be more) because "controller input was winning the majority of the fights" (something along those lines) from their own analysis
The problem now is the game is going downhill, majority of the players are on controller and if they did anything about AA they would lose players
AA is probably as strong as it is because it most likely keeps new players and not as skilled ones playing because they can keep up in fights
From someone playing on kbm you can feel when you get shot by a controller because it doesn't feel normal, feels like a computer beamed you and not a player

While on kbm with no assists reaction time is between 150-250ms, so any time your opponent changes direction it will take baseline 150-250ms + additional time to apply the correction to your aim

Being beamed by a controller player feels off, like no matter what you do they don't miss, none of the movement tech on kbm will help you, the best you can do is grab a shotgun and take shots around walls or on zips and never get in a 50/50 against a controller
