I was really poor way back so used Blender because it was free. But it is awkward to use with Unreal. gives a lot of bugs, even though it can work

Before you export a skeletal mesh you need to scale the skeleton by 100 (assuming the skeleton is the parent of the mesh), apply skeleton scale (so it resets to 1) then scale by 0.01 so the scale reads 0.01 but the size is the same

it will be a combination of pathfinding + animation

the pathfinding system in Unreal is very finnicky. You set it up and it doesnt work and you think you got something fundamentally wrong and it turns out the units are just 1 inch too high or too low, you finally find the exact distance they need to be from the floor and everything works smooth

but pathfinding algorithms is complex math above my head and its built into unreal

and there are addons as well and I think most are free or cheap

your rig is just bones and moving the bones moves the body with it

you just build a skeleton from bones that fits the model

then in the software there are different ways to weight the vertices of the model to the bones

the only problem is the model i have for one of them is in an awkward sitting down pose which i find hard to rig, and also the controls confused me.

then you move the bones and create an animation frame by frame like a slideshow

o if you are doing unreal animation, I'm not so experienced with that. But the core principles of rigging and animation are the same

you should ask in the animation channel (or whatever is closest) about good unreal animation tutorials

not just that. Nintendo, and others, used patented key methods to secure their roms and those are the loophole which nintendo used to win the court's favour. So if the emulator provides the keys as built-in then they are illegal emulators. If they don't and provide a way to include the keys from an external source then it gets away with it.

I believe some emulators who used keys agreed they were in the wrong and as good grace with nintendo, and to not get sued more, they relented.

you can copy a game you own and play it on an illegal emulator

you can even make an illegal emulator as long as you dont share it

its also not illegal to rip assets from a game or steal shaders as long as it never leaves ur pc

i believe here there is even some exeption.. cuz i also make content sometimes i can download other content to see if my content doesnt infringe on their content

basically download a movie to see if my stuff isnt too similar

For a while fire red and leaf green had an issue with the fog in the ghost tower that comes in on floor 3 and above

It was a shader, and somewhere along the lines, its y layer was set above the player and map Sprite, and had enough instances to be thick. Had to use a map editor to fix the issue by completely removing the fog from all floors

That itself is a problem, but the bigger issue is if NVidia 'pressures' its partners to work less, or avoid other competitors altogether, especially budding businesses.

Even something as small as prioritising updates for its drivers - software-wise - could be construed as anti-competitive, let alone physical manufacturing.

But, the details aside, the problem will be how long it takes to prove all this in court and the great moves NVidia will make to dodge it. Even MS led the US and the EU on a pretty chase before they had to pay fines and stuff.
