Since they gave away all the characters for free to certain platforms, I guess the money dried up so they are throwing a punt at some whales. It's of no harm to anyone tho. Well technically you could with Unreal Engine. Start with the Simulation template so you have geo-cordinates in your project. Then start making spheres you can land on.
I suppose now, with PCG and PCG Biome, if you stacked enough assets you could make some pretty good planets. Or just have 5 assets and make Starfield.

the PCG stuff is super powerful but it's not some out of the box magic. You do need the assets to make it worthwhile. I've done a few things with minimal assets, using megascans for biomes etc, and holy moly does it need a beefy PC. I wouldn't work on a game with unless I was rocking 128gb of ram for sure.

I run 32gb right now, DDR5 so it's fast. I also have 3 swap file drives. I tried to make one biome cover a 2x2km area and just spawn some trees. It used all 32gb, 2 full swap files (my OS one didn't allow access apparently) and I was waiting anywhere between 15-30 minutes per edit. And I mean, per edit. Anything changed it was a full 75,000 tasks to run.

i might suggest monkey island for its simply enjoyable world to explore, but you might have to combine a rubberchicken with a cannonball so you can use it to flatten the schnitzel that lets you win the schnitzelcontest so you get a map for treasure which is really just a hint to find Elaine

I've used it for so many things now.
Even with Unreal, it's nice. But, I have to be very specific with my prompts. Even then, it does get things wrong or simply repeats stuff, if the question is too complicated for it.
But, basic UE shit, no problems.
Of course, I always put it on the 'More Precise' setting before I ask UE questions.

Especially with how it needs to be kept up to date with the UE messy code.

I think it basically taps into the UE documentation most of the time for its answers.
I have seen other tutorial and website sources being used, but most of the time it's UE docs.
I did give me some nice tutorials for making menus and UI.
But, I think I'll always go by the rule of thumb: Double-check everything.
